Bachelor of Laws degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1981). Master of Comparative Law degree from The George Washington University Law School (1984). Doctor of Juridical Science degree in International Law from the University of São Paulo (1996). Professor on Private International Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1985-present). Former Public Prosecutor for the State of Rio de Janeiro (1984-2012). Founding partner of Nadia de Araujo Advogados (2012-present). Brazilian Delegate to the Diplomatic Conference on the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance and the Protocol on the Law Applicable to Maintenance Obligations, adopted by the Hague Conference on Private International Law. Chair of the Mercorsur’s Permanent Tribunal of Revision (2019). Professor at the Summer Course of the Hague Academy of International Law, Course on International Contracts and Party Autonomy (2010).
