Foo Siew Fong heads the Family and Matrimonial Law Practice Group in Harry Elias Partnership LLP. Her team has been awarded “Matrimonial Law Firm of the Year” at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards from 2016- 2019 and most recently ranked Tier 1 in the 2020 edition of Benchmark Litigation. Siew Fong has been listed as Preeminent Lawyer in the Doyles Guide for Family & Divorce lawyers in Singapore from 2016- 2020. She is also named Dispute Resolution Star in the Benchmark Litigation 2019 and 2020. Siew Fong has recently been named one of the Top 100 Women in Litigation by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific 2020. Siew Fong was the President of the Singapore Association of Women’s Lawyers (SAWL) from 2001- 2009 and is now the honorary advisor to SAWL as well as the Chairman of SAWL Scholarship Fund. She is the General Editor of “Law and Practice of Family Law in Singapore” a Sweet and Maxwell publication 2016 and also contributed the chapter on “Jurisdiction of the Family Court: Divorce and Dissolution”. Siew Fong is a member of the Committee by the Chief Justice under Section 139 (1) of the Women’s Charter. As well as being a South East CDC member for the past 12 years, she is also a Deputy Registrar/Licensed Solemniser by the Registry of Marriages. In addition to being an accredited Singapore Mediation Centre mediator in family law, Siew Fong, a pioneer trained in CFP, also sits on the panel of the Singapore Mediation Centre’s Collaborative Family Practice (“CFP”) service, which is offered to help resolve family disputes outside of the courtroom.
