Ekaterina Tyagay

Ekaterina Tyagay is an advocate, partner and head of the Sensitive Matters Practice at Pen & Paper, Attorneys at Law. Specialising in family and succession disputes complicated by international elements she acts as an attorney in Russia and an expert in foreign proceedings. Her expertise encompasses multi-jurisdictional divorces, pre and post nuptial agreements, children matters (including the Hague conventions based cases) and cross-border successions. Ekaterina graduated with honours from Moscow State Law University in 2008 and got her Ph.D. in 2011. Before joining Pen & Paper she was a partner at Legist law firm and headed the Family Law department at alma mater. She also lectured comparative Property and Family Law as a visiting professor at Tel Aviv University. Ekaterina is a member of the International Society of Family Law, author of two monographs and numerous scientific publications, a Forbes contributor and a public speaker on family and gender-related topics.
