After five years as an Assistant Public Defender focusing exclusively on criminal defense, used her litigation experience to focus her practice solely on family law since 2000. Has been recognized many times for work in domestic relations. For several years running, has been included in the annual list compilations of the top divorce lawyers in Best Lawyers in America, Washingtonian Magazine, Bethesda Magazine, and Maryland and D.C.’s Super Lawyers magazine’s list of top 100 attorneys and Top 50 women attorneys. Is a member of the bar in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Massachusetts. Is collaboratively trained and an active participant in her local bar associations as a member, leader, and continuing legal education lecturer. Completed the Six Year Law Program at Boston University where she simultaneously earned a BA in Political Science summa cum laude and a JD in 1995.
