The app is available on Android and Apple phones via the Google Play Store and Apple Store. You can download them for free. If you do not have access to a smart phone, you can register at a local police office in Ukraine or with select partners. If you are unable to reach a police station, please contact us for a referral to a partner in your country of residence.

No, you do not have to pay for the mobile app. It is available for free download and use.

The mobile app is currently available in multiple languages with new languages being added regularly. Please contact us if you have any suggestions regarding languages, we should make our app available in.

You can enter as little or as much information about you and your family as you would like into the app. This includes 52+ pieces of information such as birthdate, countries lived in, addresses, pets name and many others. You can add many entries for these, such as all prior addresses, different spellings of a pet’s name, etc. You can also add images of yourself and your relatives to the app.The more information and images you put, the easier and faster our technology can match you with your family. 

Our artificial intelligence uses the information entered and images uploaded to find family matches.

When our technology finds a match, the local authorities are notified and able to confirm a relationship between the two persons, especially when one is a minor. After they confirm the relationship, both persons are sent a notification on the mobile app that a match has been made. After both users agree, they can communicate via our in-app messenger.

No information entered into the app is searchable by the public. Enter data entered is encrypted to protect the users and as per our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, app users retain full ownership and control of their data.

You can use the app to reunite with any person who has gone missing for any reason. This may include kidnapping, adoption, injury, separation during attack or migration, etc. The Reunite Ukraine was launched specifically for the Ukrainian market so if you are looking for a missing Ukrainian possibly missing in Ukraine or abroad, we highly recommend you use this mobile application.

All data entered into our mobile application is stored on a secure server with data encrypted. We employ world-class data protection and security features provided by Amazon Web Services. The same technology is used by financial institutions, hospitals and governments around the world to protect data. We adhere to data privacy laws as laid out in our Terms and Conditions.

To date Reunite Ukraine and the technology that drives it has been funded by Find My Parent’s co-founders and investors. Additional funds will be required to scale our technology to reach all Ukrainians and build the capacities of local actors to use our technology effectively. The technology behind the app was developed by Find My Parent – a US-registered non-profit organization – made up of a team of techies, child rights activists and parents of children abducted by their spouse, with the goal of empowering these children to reunite with a lost parent, even if they know nothing or very little about that parent. Founders of Find My Parent envisioned creating this technology to reunite with their own children.
