Was at the forefront in establishing legal specialisation in family law, the first area of specialisation in Australia. Author of numerous books, notably the “Family Court Practice Manual”, first published 1985. The 5th Edition was published in 2004. The Internet edition was released in 2006 and is current. He is a regular contributor of articles and papers to lawyers, accountants, financial planners and other professionals. Advises in complex financial cases, including internationally. Has particular expertise in estate planning and asset protection within a family breakdown, as well as prenuptial and cohabitation agreements. Is qualified in collaborative law and is a trained mediator. Has been a Family Law Instructor at the Leo Cussen Institute of Victoria for 40 years.
