Licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri state and federal courts. Practice focused around family law, approximately 20% deals with appellate practice. Appeals handled in a wide variety of subjects, including appeals to the federal circuit court on Hague issues. Graduated cum laude, Washburn University; Masters of Divinity degree (with honours) from St. Paul’s School of Theology; bachelor’s degree in psychology. Practiced as a United Methodist minister prior to becoming a member of the bar. ABA liaison to NCCUSL, for the drafting of UIFSA 2001; ABA liaison to NCUSL for a proposed uniform act on parental relocation. A portion of practice dedicated to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and surrogate parenting contracts.
