An accredited family law specialist and partner practising exclusively in family law since 1996, Alison commenced her career as a legal associate to a Judge of the Appeal Division of the Family Court of Australia before joining HopgoodGanim’s family law team. Alison’s focus is on complex family law matters including property settlement matters, the impact of taxation on property issues as well as international and other children’s matters including child abduction and forum disputes. Prepares pre-nuptial and relationship agreements including in international matters. Former chair of the family law committee of the Queensland Law Society and a longstanding member of that committee prior to that appointment. Regularly presents to other practitioners in relation to a variety of family law topics. Alison is a registered arbitrator and trained collaborative professional.
