Clara Susanna Gelman

Law School at the University of Buenos Aires in 1998, I have a successful law practice specializing in Family Law. I am in the list of attorney/guardian ad litem -GAL- in the “Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Nación” to be designated for children and person who need independent legal representation. In addition of my practice I am also a law conference presenter, mediator and university law school professor at the University of Buenos Aires for final year law students in their last required class. My expertise in the new Civil Code (2014) has proven key in client case outcomes and represents an important change in the Argentine law structure, impacting rights of children, parents, others, and subsequent legal theories. My experience in handling cases involving surrogacy, adoption, custody, visitation, abuse and violence along with questions and representation regarding Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (Argentina signatory 1991) has demonstrated a very strong mastery of both the Hague Convention and the Argentine legal framework and medical/technical issues necessary for successful outcomes. My interdisciplinary team of child psychologists, social workers and experts in law and processes in other jurisdiction offers clients and lawyers alike a unique resource to resolve particularly complex legal situations that demand specialized attention.
