Jane became a Consultant with Penningtons Manches Cooper’s highly regarded Family Department in April 2022, having headed the department for the previous sixteen years. She is a past national Chair of Resolution, England’s six thousand member leading family lawyers’ organisation. She was a member of the Family Justice Council, which advises the British Government on family law issues, for seven years. She chaired its Children in Families Committee and is also one of the authors of the Family Justice Council’s guide ‘Sorting out Finances on Divorce’. Jane specialises in high value divorce finances. She has extensive experience of cases involving trusts, inherited wealth, complicated remuneration structures and assets overseas. She regularly advises on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements (she co-authored the current edition of Resolution’s Cohabitation Agreement Precedents), as well as the more complex children cases. She is recognised as a ‘leading individual’ in all the legal directories and was recently promoted to the Legal 500 Hall of Fame.
