Jim Mueller is the owner and managing partner of Verner Brumley Mueller Parker, P.C., a Dallas-based law firm focussed on complex and high-net worth family law matters in Texas. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He currently serves as a member of the Texas Family Law Council, the Board of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, and the Family Law Advisory Commission. Jim practices throughout the state of Texas and regularly speaks throughout the country on various family law topics. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, D Magazine, Park Cities People, and Texas Super Lawyers as one of the top practitioners in his field. Jim also recently published “Divorce In Texas: The Legal Process, Your Rights, and What to Expect”, which helps clients navigate through the divorce and custody process. Jim graduated Phi Bata Kappa and magna cum laude from Rhodes College with a bachelors of arts in psychology. He received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. He is married to Olivia and has two children, Leisel and Boone.
