Lynda Jocelyn Kearns

I have over 30 years of family law specialisation. I have particular expertise in cases involving domestic violence, custody and child protection, relocation and Hague convention matters. I have had senior counsel for child status since 1993 and have acted for children since that time. In the last five years I have routinely been appointed by the Court to act for children in difficult or longstanding cases and have also been appointed frequently as counsel to assist the Court or Amicus; both in the Family Court and High Court. In the past five years my practice has centred primarily in relationship and trust property cases. As well as acting for trustees in relationship property cases, I have also been asked to give expert advice on relationship property issues. I act in estate/family protection cases and those involving child support and spousal maintenance issues.
