Practices at the Mauritian Bar since 1989. Taught “Wills and Successions” and “Matrimonial Regimes” at University of Mauritius. Headed team that drafted Foster Care Regulations in 2006. Collaborates closely with UNICEF, Ministry of Women and Children’s Rights, ODEROI (Observatory for Children’s Rights in the Indian Ocean Region) and the office of the Ombudsperson for Children. Diploma in International Commercial arbitration. Teaches family law to prospective Barristers, Solicitors and Notaries at Mauritius Council of Legal Education. Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2008). Registered arbitrator with Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Current practice mainly focused on family matters including inter alia Domestic Violence, divorce, custody, visitation rights, financial arrangements, the Hague Convention and adoption cases. Made significant contribution to development of the Case Law in Family Law.
