Began practicing law in 1978 after graduating from Georgia Tech and Emory University School of Law. Served as an Assistant Solicitor and Assistant District Attorney in Cobb County. The last twenty years of his practice have focused upon family law. Was the Chairman of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia from 2005 through 2006 and was actively involved in implementation of the Child Support Guidelines, which became effective on January 1, 2007. Served as President of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court during the years 2010-2012. Is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Was named as a Georgia Super Lawyer in each year from 2007 through 2013.
