Susanne Ekberg-Carlsson

I am married and have two children; my husband also works as a lawyer. After my law degree, I worked nine years as a prosecutor. I was very engaged in cases concerning assault and abuse of children and adults. My husband persuaded me to change “legal path” so I started 1993 to work as a lawyer at a law firm in Stockholm. Since I wanted to continue working with people in some kind of need, I came in touch with the 1980-years Hague-convention on the civil aspects of international Child abduction and the Swedish Foreign Ministry. I started to work with Child abduction in the late 1900s. Ever since then I’ve been working with these cases and International Private Law concerning divorce, spousal and child support, custody, property division etc. I’m very dedicated to my work and hope my membership will get me new professional contacts and input.
