FIND MY PARENT PRESENTS:

SUPPORT GROUPS FOR FAMILY

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

While many reach out to legal and mental health professionals for support before, during and after parental alienation and abduction, it is often other families who have been affected that can provide the most useful help.

That is why Find My Parent has established two support groups – one for parents and relatives who have had their children abducted and one for children and adults who have been alienated and/or abducted.

The goals of these groups are to:

  • Help people in crisis with a missing or recovered child as they handle the day-to-day issues of coping and/or searching for their child.
  • Help provide emotional support, compassion, coping tools and empowerment to people who have or were missing, and recovered or located children.
  • Help instill courage, determination, and hope to those we support.
  • Help alleviate the feelings of isolation soften resulting from fear and frustration.
