Information:

The case concerned an application for the return of a child born in 2009, who was habitually resident in Finland. The child was removed from Finland to Turkey on 23 April 2010 by the mother. The father applied for the return of the child.
The first instance Family Court decided that the child had been wrongfully removed. However, the return was refused under Article 13(1)(b) as the Court considered the return would put the child at great risk of psychological harm. The father appealed.
