What is it about: Dr. Amy Baker is the Director of Research at the Vincent J. Fontana Center for Child Protection and a nationally recognized expert in parent child relationships, especially children of divorce, parental alienation syndrome, and emotional abuse of children. Dr. Baker has a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College of Columbia University. Her areas of research include parental alienation, child welfare, parent involvement in their children’s education, early intervention, and attachment. Her area of specialization is psychological maltreatment and parental alienation and children in the child welfare system. Amy is the author or co-author of 8 books and over 65 peer reviewed articles. These included Working with alienated children and families – Adult children of parental alienation syndrome: breaking the ties that bind. She also co-created with Dr William Bernet the Five Factor model for the Diagnosis of Parental Alienation.
