With a niche practice in private client and matrimonial disputes involving international elements, Shu Mei appears regularly for high net worth individuals at all levels of the Singapore Courts on all matters affecting the family, including division of matrimonial assets, maintenance, custody and international relocation, and trust and property disputes. As an accredited mediator with SMC and SIMI, and an accredited Collaborative Family Practitioner, she strives to find common ground even in the most complex of cases. Her clients also enjoy a full suite of services for the setting up of trusts, family offices and tax advice provided by the private client team. Lastly, Shu Mei is a co-author of “Commencement of Arbitration”, Arbitration in Singapore: A Practical Guide (1st ed.,2014) and the Singapore chapter of ‘Blue Book’, “Family Law: Jurisdictional Comparisons” (2nd ed., 2013, 5th ed., 2021) and contributed to the chapter titled “Trusts and Divorce” in Family Law in Singapore (2nd ed., 2021 edition).
